REFLECTING ON A SUCCESSFUL MIDLANDS BUSINESS EXPO FEBRUARY 2019

At the start of this month, the Momentum team participated in the Midlands Business Network Expo, exhibiting for the first time in the company’s history.
The event was specially designed for B2B companies within the region to meet, identify new opportunities and promote their business amongst the local, target audience. Our team attended with the hopes of meeting a ton of interesting people that we could support in growing their business and we got just that!
Hosted at the Ricoh Arena, a stones throw away from Momentum HQ, it was a great opportunity to touch base with our target audience, evaluate their needs and distinguish how Momentum can fulfil them with our outsource solutions.
Sometimes all it takes is that simple, no-pressure conversation to get the ball rolling?
When reminiscing about the expo antics, we decided to ask around the office to find out what everybody’s favourite part of the expo was.
“Besides the freebies? It was probably actually being able to put a face to our names. We talk to people all the time over the phone & through emails but talking face to face gave us the ability to really show off the personal aspects of Momentum.” – Ellie
“I found the whole day really exciting. The expo gave me a chance to really learn about some of the interesting things people do for a living. It also provided me with the chance to network with people and grow my connections on LinkedIn, which will not only just help me, but Momentum as we can continue to build our contacts across the Midlands.” – Annie
“I loved having the ability to network with a variety of people from a range of industries. By meeting and connecting with these people on LinkedIn, we are going to be able to make appointments & develop real business relationships with people.” – Pete
If you’re considering exhibiting or solely visiting an upcoming networking event, the Momentum team are here to support you to maximise the effectiveness of your presence. Be that through drumming up interest with personalised email invitations pre-event or continuing conversations post event.
The fortune really is in the follow up!
